This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Screening and Interventions for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in Primary Care Settings Demonstration Project. The purpose of this program is to study how best to implement, in primary care settings, screening protocols and evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents who have experienced ACEs. The goal of this program is to yield a model for integrating ACEs screening and strength-based, trauma-informed services into primary care settings. This 3-year demonstration project aims to:
• Study how primary care settings can best screen and provide care to children impacted by ACEs, including strengths, limitations, and implementation challenges.
• Produce a scalable model that can help pediatric providers effectively integrate screening with strength-based, trauma-informed care and services in primary care settings.
